Diane Abbott encouraged everyone to join the Labour Party, and the responses are HILARIOUS

The Labour MP and Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott has posted a message on her Facebook account asking everyone to step up and join the Labour Party, and so we have been taking a look at some of the places where the appeal has been shared – some of the responses are pure gold.

Perhaps it was because she mentioned the bit about getting Jeremy Corbyn into Number 10!

Anyway, we have spotted these replies on various Facebook groups, and we have removed names for anonymity as comments on Facebook groups are not always set to ‘Public.’ Enjoy!

The only movement I would join is the movement to stop these clowns from ever getting into number 10. Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour is the 21st Century demolition team! Britain will be dissected piece by piece until it is unrecognisable and does not exist as the Great Britain we know.

Anyone thinking of voting Labour should either seek help or set fire to their ****

Join the Bloody Labour Party??? As Mr Clint Eastwood would say….THE HELL I WILL…. If they get in expect the £ to plummet to just above ZERO….. Anyone that is even contemtplating joining that Bloody Mess, have never lived through a time when they RAN the country into the ground….. AT YOUR PERIL…. Its too late after you’ve voted they will be around for 5 years.

And identify with a party full of intellectually challenged 1970’s vintage socialists? Do me a favour.

So there we have it, and it’s not even the first time that Diane Abbott has scored a bit of an own goal on Facebook.

We reported earlier today that the Shadow Home Secretary and Labour MP Diane Abbott made a huge error when she incorrectly said that British people can fight in the armed forces at 16 years old, and there has been a huge backlash on social media.

Abbott was trying to use this made-up point to prove that young people should be given the vote at this age as well.

She made the comments in a video on her own Facebook page, and so this has given people the ideal opportunity to let her know that she is out of touch with the very nature of our magnificent armed forces.

Here are some of the best comments that have been left.

Andy’s point is a good one – if we disregard this error for a moment, it is clear that there is an underhand motive at play. Labour would much rather fill the electorate with impressionable youngsters who can by Corbynised.

Perhaps there is an equally relevant argument for getting the voting age raised to 21, but Peter is just one of many social media users who have seen through this latest Abbottism.

Ah yes, once again the old Labour double-standard has returned. The problem here is that whenever somebody points out Labour hypocrisy, they will just say that it was ‘Old Labour’ – there have been so many Labours in recent history that they could fill an average-sized maternity ward.

Even as we speak right now there are at least two Labours thanks to Corbyn’s feat of managing to divide the party.

It is worth remembering that while under 18’s can indeed join the army, they cannot face frontline service.

‘Fail’ is often a word that we could use to sum-up Diane Abbott’s political endeavours.

Here is our original report about the latest Abbott disaster.

Diane Abbott has now become famous for her interview technique that involves dealing with any issue that involves numbers and then making a complete balls-up of it, and her latest media adventure didn’t disappoint.

There is a debate raging at the moment about whether or not 16 and 17 year olds should be allowed to vote, and while giving an interview on the subject Diane Abbott made a very powerful point that young adults of this age can already fight in the armed forces, so at the same time they should be allowed to vote.

Well it would be a good point if it wasn’t completely and utterly WRONG! What Abbott seems to have overlooked here is that you have to be 18 years old to face combat in our armed forces.

Nothing says ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ like quoting a fact that is complete and utter garbage.

According to a report in The Sun:

DIANE Abbott has been mocked for saying 16-year-olds should get the vote because they can “fight for our country”.

The Shadow Home Secretary wrongly claimed children can be selected to serve in combat roles in the army. The minimum age for soldiers on the battlefield is 18.

Her gaffe came before a bill seeking to reduce the voting age was due to be debated in Parliament on Friday.

It was later shelved when MPs failed to vote on time. Labour accused the Tories of indulging in long speeches to wind down the clock.

In a video released on Facebook on Friday, Ms Abbott said: “I believe in votes at 16.”

She added: “If you’re old enough to fight for your country, you’re old enough to vote.

“The Labour Party believes that young people should have their say over their future, which is why I will be voting to extend the franchise to 16 and 17-year-olds this Friday.”
