Nick Clegg begs for a SECOND EU REFERENDUM and ‘two votes for young people’ This may be the sort of headline to make you think that the writer is taking the absolute p*ss, but believe it or not one of Britain’s biggest Remoaners Nick Clegg has just used a speech to practically beg for a second EU Referendum. Just in case there is any doubt that David Cameron’s ex-man servant has lost his mind completely, he also stated that young people should be given TWO VOTES EACH in this fantasy future vote on Britain’s future relation ship with the European Union. Clegg was speaking at the Buxton International Festival in Derbyshire. He thinks that the extra vote for the under 30’s should be introduced (in this referendum that will clearly never happen) because ‘it’s their future.’ “It’s only in a very weird world that June 23 (referendum day last year) is a year zero. “This idea of a cornucopia where everyone from the US to Papua New Guinea will give us everything we want in terms of trade deals, the £350 million a week for the NHS… we know these things are not true already. “Surely the public are entitled to say we want to have another look at this. “We should reclaim our right, we should take back control of our destiny, we should be free to say whether we think (the outcome) measures up to what was promised.” He added: “We should give every youngster under 30 a weighted vote of twice the value of everybody else, because it’s their future.” Perhaps the most worrying thing here is that Clegg is asking for something that we are sure must be illegal. If it is against the law to vote twice in an election, it goes without saying that ‘two votes for young people’ would be subject to a number of legal challenges. Does this goon not realise that there were many, many young people who voted for Brexit in June 2016? Would he need to compile a database to make sure that these people only get a single vote – we wouldn’t want the outcome to be skewed or biased in any way now, would we? Hopefully the men in white coats will arrive at Clegg’s residence sooner rather than later.
